How to force cancel cron process? was created by pgadv
Hi Jose

I had previously set up cron to run every 24 hours on all my sites. It appears my server has a memory limit preventing the cron from ever completing.

So, it is seems to be frozen in a run state as I get this error when clicking "upload & Install" button: There is a Cron running. Please, wait until it finishes.

I turned off cron under configuration but, again, it states the above error message.

How can I force quit cron so I can use the new features?

Thanks

Hi Paul,

Launch the following query for phpmyadmin or similar:
UPDATE #__securitycheckprocontrolcenter_cron SET cron_running=0 WHERE id=1; (Don't forget to change the #_ with your databse prefix)
This will reset the counter. I will also add some changes in the next version to avoid cases like this.

Regards,

Jose
