Hi all, 

Just a quick question, is two factor authentication on Joomla 4 a replacement for using an extra key in the backend or can 2FA be used as a way of getting access to the site if you get blocked?

Hi Chris,

Using a key to protect the backend is fully compatible with 2FA. The key protects your site against brute force and dictionary attacks and the 2FA provides an extra layer of security and also allows you to circumvent blocking if for some reason Securitycheck Pro bans you.

You're welcome Chris!

Having a 2FA allows you to use a One Time Password to grant you access: scpdocs.securitycheckextensions.com/troubleshooting/otp
