.htaccess commands was created by FrankKonig
Hello Team,

wondering what Apache Header module is required to utilize the .htaccess protection tool.

Everytime I use it, it does not work. I have added a number of manual configurations that seem to work, but there are many others that do not.

For instance, I am protecting .htaccess with the following commands:
<Files ~ "^.*\.([Hh][Aa])">
Order allow,deny
Deny from all
</Files>

but it is still showing at risk. your guidance is appreciated.

Thank you,

Regards,

Hi FrankKonig,

The .htaccess protection does all the work for you. Basically you need the mod_rewrite and mod_headers modules to apply all features into this option. Just configure all dropdowns as desired, click on the "Save" button and after that in the "Protect" button. This will create a new .htaccess file with those settings, so you will not have to add any code.

Regards,
Jose
