Hi,

I have a website at www.mysite.com
I need to create a backup and restore it to test.mytsite.com to test some new things.

The original site is fully protected with SecurityPro, with full
.htaccess protection

Self Protection
Prevent access to .ht files: Yes
Prevent Unauthorized Directory Browsing: Yes
Protect against file injection attacks: Yes
Protect against proc/self/environ attacks: Yes

X-Frame Options: Sameorigin
Protect against proc/self/environ attacks: Yes
Protect against proc/self/environ attacks: Yes
X-Xss-Protection: Yes

Use default banned user-agents list: Yes

Disable server signature: Yes
Disallow PHP Easter Eggs: Yes

New Backend URL /? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Then I saved and protected the .htaccess file

I did the backup and restored using Akeeba Backup

When I tried to go to :test.mysite.com/administrator/administrator/index.php?xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I gert a username and password on awhite page. I type both correct but it takes me to the site home page like I had no access.

I tied to remove the Backend URL bus same results

Can you please advice how to do this?

Hi Yannis,

the best way to do this is deleting the .htaccess file (or renaming it) and generating a new one once you get access to your backend. This will take all new parameters and everything should work as expected.
