Hi.

Every time I open the security panel I get a message telling me to update Geoblock database. When I try to do this either automatically or manually it fails with the message: A connection error occurred. Please retry updating the GeoLite2 Country database in 24 hours. (503).

Hi macoleclough,

Some customers had the same issue in the past; for some reason you're not able to reach maxmind server or they blocked you. Please, take note that this is an external service I can't control; if the server is returning a 503 error means the service is not available ( dev.maxmind.com/geoip/geoip2/web-services/ ) but this is not the cause as you always get the message.

Anyway, do you have the geoblock feature enabled? Could you be blocking maxmind server? Or maybe is it blacklisted?

I postes a "trick" to avoid that the message appears everytime.

Hi Jose

I've updated to the latest version of Securitycheck Pro and that seems to have sorted the problem. However, although I have purchased a subscription it doesn't seem to be showing in the Control panel. Is this correct?

However, although I have purchased a subscription it doesn't seem to be showing in the Control panel. Is this correct?

Susbscription status is checked everytime you log into your website; if your download id is set the status should be updated in the next login to backend.

The download id is correct. However the status still says "Not Defined" the next time I login.
