move the site to sub folder was created by french150
Hi. I have to move the folders and files of my website in a subfolder of public_html folder. The host suggested to edit the htaccess file as in this link: www.siteground.com/kb/how_to_change_my_d...ng_an_htaccess_file/

So how can i manage this scenario with your htaccess tool?
Or i cannot and work directly with cpanel of the host.
Thanks, best regards

Hi,

The best way is to mover the entire site as your hosting provider recommends and after that apply the .htacess protection.

Take note that you won't be able to manage the htacess at root folder, only the file located into the subfolder.

Jose

After the host moved the site under the subfolder and added that htaccess within the main directory i cannot access to the security check pro component on backend. I get a white page with this string: ###{"cipher":1,"body":{"status":500,"data":"\"Can't get configuration\""}}###

Ummm, that's really odd... Can you send me a super user account for your Joomla backend and also an ftp account?

If so use the email from which you receive forum notificacions.

Jose

The .htaccess configuration of Securitycheck Pro should not affect to images or icons.

Where i send you the credentials?

I have just sent you an email.
