Hello there,

We're trying to set Securitycheck pro component on our Joomla site of version 3.7.2.

In our attempt of fresh installation of component, we experienced blank screen on back end as well as front end of the site. Both of the pages appeared only after disabling System - Securitycheck Pro plugin on a site. So this plugin isn't working for us at the moment.

Following to this, when we click on Securitycheck Pro menu item in components section, we're getting fatal error as :

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '.../administrator/components/com_securitycheckpro/models/protection.php' (include_path='.:/opt/alt/php70/usr/share/pear') in .../administrator/components/com_securitycheckpro/models/sysinfo.php on line 63

In a attempt of resolving this error, we tried to reupload this missing protection.php file on server from our installation package but strangely we noticed that this file is getting auto-deleted when component page is triggered in back end. So we're clueless to get rid of this error and get component fully functional.

We came across this thread where other user seems to have experienced kind of similar issue : securitycheck.protegetuordenador.com/for...464-blank-admin-page

Could you please let us know a possible cause behind this and solution?

Thanks!

Hi Tim,

Is there a software antivirus in the server that could cause this? Protection.php file is included into Securitycheck Pro zipped file, so something/someone is deleting it.

When you get the blank page after a fresh installation, is there any error message like the component section?

Jose

I assume the "Move to quarantine" feature (Global configuration -> File integrity) is disabled because that option must be enabled after installing the component and you're getting the errors after installing/going to main page of the extension, so there is no way to enable it.
This feature move files rated as "High" by the malware scanner to a quarantine folder; it would be the first case where this happens, but I must ask you about this.

Jose

Hi Jose
We are clueless about how and why this protection.php file is getting deleted. As I wrote, we tried to reupload this file in models folder few times manually, but it just gets disappered when site url is triggered.

We are not gettting any sort of error even after turning on error_reporting, debug_mode etc, it just shows blank page. Looking at code, we see that in securitycheckpro.php file of securitycheckpro system plugin, same protection.php file is getting included through require_once. It probably would have been causing this blank page issue?

Could we turn on this "Move to quarantine" feature manually either through database or some config file perhaps to make sure it's causing this issue?

Hi Tim,

May I download a backup of the site to check what's happening? If so please send me administrative credentials to the email from which you receive forum notifications.

Jose
