Install New extension

I am getting this error upon installing new extensions:JInstaller: :Install: Error SQL Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytesExtension Update: SQL error processing query: DB function failed with error number 1071
Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytes
SQL =ALTER TABLE `#__securitycheckpro_dynamic_blacklist` CHANGE `ip` `ip` VARCHAR(255);

Could you please give me some guidance on how to fix this problem.

BTW- I tried all versions of the update (3.4.4, 3.4.5, 3.5)
