Countless Possible XSS attack warnings was created by snoopy33
Hello dear support team,

Since a few days I'm getting countless XSS attack warnings from Security Check Pro. (See attached screen shots).

My questions are:

a) Do I have to worry about that?
b) Do I need to do something against that?
c) If YES, what do you suggest?

Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Michael

Hi Michael,

Those attacks seems to be attempts to publish spam. Fortunately Securitycheck Pro stopped them.

What's the component involved? A contact form or similar? If so, do you have any captcha mechanism?

Regards,
Jose

You're welcome Michael!

Every log has many rows; one of them is the component. Also, where the attacks come from? Maybe you can geoblock the offensive countries.

Regards,
Jose

The component is "com_user" whatever this is?
The country is USA, but i guess I cannot GeoBlock the USA because of the robots that are scanning so the site can be found in the search engines.
