Malware issue was created by chrishall57
Hi, I've noticed for a while now that on my sites when I first login I get malware flagged up, but if I scan again the malware has gone.

Also the number of files scanned when I login seems to be <1000 but after a manual scan it shows as full numbers.

Any ideas?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the detailed report and the screenshots — I've been able to reproduce this exact behavior in our test environment: a file flagged by the scan that runs right after login can, under specific conditions, no longer show up when you run a full scan manually afterwards, even though nothing was actually cleaned. This is a real bug in how the full scan decides which files to re-check, not a false alarm on the first detection.

That said, based on your screenshot, the files that disappeared from the subsequent scan results were false positives introduced by an update, so there's no indication that anything malicious slipped through or that your system was left exposed as a result.I'm already working on the fix and it will be included in the next release.

Sorry for the trouble, and thanks again for flagging it clearly with both screenshots — it made this much faster to track down.

Regards,
Jose
