Hi.
I changed PHP from 7.4 to version 8.0 on one of my websites. And now I have a problem with file manager analysis (nothing happen for very long time).
When I turn back to PHP 7.4 again, analysis works fine.

File integrity analysis on the first run on PHP 8.0 showed an error, but the second and subsequent runs work.

Any ideas?
Kind regards

Hi michnaj,

From backend check the values of PHP settings. Be fully sure that all values are the same, specially those for memory_limit and max_execution_time.

memory_limit and max_execution_time are the same.
I have differences in:
  • enable_dl
  • max_input_time
  • output_buffering
  • register_argc_argv
  • report_zend_debug
  • request_order
  • short_open_tag
  • zend_assertions
  • zed_exception_ingore_args

Those values should not affect.

Can you send me administrative credentials to access to backend? If so please use the email from which you receive forum notifications.

For public knowledge:

Yours is one of the most rare cases I have ever seen. For some reason the JPATH_ROOT constant, that is available in all Joomla sites and points to the root folder, is empty. This is why the permissions scan never finishs. In fact, there is something wrong with your site as all paths return a doble / at the begining.

I have done some changes in source code to avoid this and also some improvements in the file integrity scan and both finish now.

Regards,
Jose
