We trying to make changes in WAF Configuration, delete blacklisted IPs, export the blacklisted IP list, etc, I get thrown to a blank screen with
###{"cipher":1,"body":{"status":500,"data":"\"JSON decoding error\""}}###
.

When I first started trying the same, it threw me to a 404.

I have also tried disabling various elements to allow a certain visitor access, but it keep throwing up the hacking attempt message, even when the component, module, and all plugins are disabled and the entire Security Pro section of htaccess removed.

I'll add that this happens on more than one site.

Hi helsinkisisu,

Is there any sef plugin installed in the site? For some reason queries are redirected to frontend instead backend.

Can you also ask your hosting provider if there is any rule of mod_security causing the issue?

Regards,
Jose

There is only the system SEF. When turned on, Security Pro hits a 404 saving, when off, it hits the blank page and text above. Same if the plugin is disabled.

I've asked the hosting about any mod_security rules.

Hi helsinkisisu,

Try renaming current .htacess and after that the htacess.txt to .htacess.

If this doesn't work I will need an administrative access to backend.

Jose

I have tried a fresh htaccess file - no change. I tried the fresh htaccess AND disabling all Security Pro components (incl. plugins and modules) and it STILL blocks IPs. How is it doing that?!

I am waiting for the hosting company to check their log for my IP at the time of hitting the 404 and blank page.
